ABOUT

Scott Green

Scott Green, like many of us, is in love with baseball. Growing up in Queens, New York, in the ‘60s gave him a great outlet to play every seasonal game, but no sport captured his heart and soul like the National Pastime.

For the past 21 years, he has been organizing and running men’s baseball events at great venues across North America through his company, Play at the Plate.

Scott has been sharing his love of baseball with over 2,500 players, bringing both young and old players to America’s most famous stadiums, fields, and historical sites, as well as some trips to baseball-crazy Japan.

Scott was introduced to the game by his father, Robert. The first game he attended was at six years old, and it was Roger Maris’ 61st home run on October 1, 1961. Thirty-seven years later, this devoted Cardinals fan traveled to St. Louis to see Mark McGwire break that record. He was the only person in the park that night who had witnessed both of those legendary events live.
